Mrs. Belle Reynolds was born June 14, 1872, and died October 20, 1936, at her home near Wharton, Ark. Funeral service was conducted at the home by Rev. Jake Drake and burial was made in the Kingston cemetery Oct. 22.
Mrs. Reynolds was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Grigg. She was married to Jackson Reynolds Jan. 30, 1887. Ten children were born to them, all of whom are living except one who died in infancy. They are Mrs. Rosa Keck, Mrs. Pearl Easterling, Mrs. Alta Mullins, Mrs. Iva Easterling, Fred Reynolds, Spurgeon Reynolds, Frank Reynolds and Charley Reynolds, all of Wharton and James Reynolds of Rogers, Arkansas. She is also survived by her husband and three brothers, Isom Grigg and Dave Grigg of Oklahoma, and Tom Grigg of Kingston, and by 39 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. All the mentioned relatives were present at the funeral except the brothers in Oklahoma.
Mrs. Reynolds became a member of the Baptist church before she was married. She was a faithful Christian, a devoted wife and mother and friend indeed to everyone who met her.
I am not sure yet how she connects to my lines because many of the surnames mentioned are in my direct lines. All I have so far is this obituary clipping. I am currently in the process of adding a lot of other clippings and documents from my grandmother – part of my personal genealogy research plans for 2011. So hopefully I will find more to connect her to my lines in the following days and weeks.
