Heart Attack Fatal to William Armes, Kingston Farmer

William I. Armes, 72, died Saturday afternoon, April 26, after having suffered a heart attack on the previous Monday. Mr. Armes was doing his evening chores when he suffered the attack from which he did not recover.

Mr. Armes was a life-time resident of Kingston having been born there July 20, 1879 the son of James N. and Ruth Brown Armes. He married in life Miss Dusky Kesner. The deceased was not a member of any church but was Christian and had lived a devoted Christian life for many years.

Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, Ernest, of Springdale and four daughters, Effie and Merle of the home, and Elma Stout of Springdale and Delma Clark of Oak Grove, Mo., and six grandchildren, all of whom were able to attend the funeral except for one, Kenneth, who is in the service in California, and one brother, Joel Armes of Springdale.

Funeral services were conducted Sunday at 2 o’clock at the Baptist church at Kingston by Reverends Vivan Rhodes and Den Montgomery. Interment was in the Kingston cemetery under the direction of the Brashears Funeral home.

Pallbearers were Lloyd Kesner, Fred Smelley, Hugh White, Lorin Smelley, Noel Armes, and Clebert Armes.
