At The FGS Conference in Little Rock, Arkansas

I am re-posting some of my old blog posts to keep the history of my blog alive. In 2009, I was able to attend a National Genealogy Conference: The FGS Passages Through Time that was held in Little Rock that year. I really enjoyed my vacation that year.

Hi Everyone,

I am currently attending the FGS Conference in Little Rock, Arkansas. It has been a wonderful couple of days so far. I arrived last night and attended the first session on developing a research plan. It was extremely interesting and offered some good tips!

Today, I attended several sessions on using a society’s website and marketing a society as well as a couple of researching techniques classes. I have met many people from all over the state and am having a great time!

Tonight, I attended the Arkansas Naturals vs the Arkansas Travelers Baseball Game.  Being from Fayetteville, I had to cheer for the Naturals but the Travelers ended up winning the game!  I had a wonderful time at the game just relaxing with people from the conference.

Wish you were here!
