My Favorite Season is Fall. I love this time of year. The temperatures have dropped and I can stand to be outside. There is an air of expectation as everyone goes back to school and summer draws to a close. The “Boys of Fall” are beginning to play their football games.
The holiday season is approaching. It is a time for family and friends. I love watching the leaves change and the autumn flowers appearing: the cascades of mums appearing at every doorstep, the Halloween displays with the bales of hay and scarecrows and the ghosts and bats appearing in the neighborhood trees.
I love the readying for the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. The Turkey and Pilgrim decorations, the recipes appearing in every newspaper and website and facebook stream, then the sales and decorations for Chirstmas with the ligts, trees, and Santas! I love the holiday gatherings with family and friends. I love the traditions of keeping the traditions of the family alive for the new generation! Fall denotes the mix of happiness and anticipation of happiness as well as the love of heritage and tradition!
A Happy Memory.
Close your eyes and imagine your favourite season – write down what you see, feel, hear. The Book of Me, Written by You is a real opportunity to explore your memories, thoughts, information from your life, things that you can remember, and perhaps the passing on of oral history.
This is a chance to explore yourself and create a legacy for future generations. This is truly a road of self discovery and exploration.
The prompts will be delivered each week from 31st August 2013 through until the end of December 2014 via Thomas at Geneabloggers and via the Anglers Rest blog.
