Dad had three brothers: Jerry, Jim, and Danny.
Dad grew up in a very different way from Mom: Dad’s family was a city family while Mom’s family was a farming family.
Dad’s earliest memories are of living in Tulsa and growing up there as a young boy. He would come to the Springdale area in the summers to spend time with his grandparents: Great Grandma and Grandpa Stout and his brother Jerry who lived with them. In the mid-1960s, Grandma and Grandpa Thompson decided to move back to the Springdale area.
So, Dad finished high school at Springdale High School where each of his children would later graduate.
Grandpa Thompson would get a job as a machinist at the company later known as RTW soon after the move to Springdale. He would work for that company for many years until he retired in the early 1990s.
The family would live in a couple of different homes but in the early 1970s, they would buy a house at 205 Old Wire Road which would remain their home until their deaths.
